“Clipping nails, drunk madness or a Sunday rest-the banality of everyday life has always been a scheming genre. Also apartment exhibitions are nothing new even though they are becoming attractive again in the post-white cube era. Vaukman creates as a voyeur of sincerity, not looking for drama, but spotting emotions. With a raw collection of stories which are told by bruises, scratches, tattoos, smiles, hugs and swollen eyes, he reveals the core of action and youth chaos. In a desire for presenc e of the experience which is something beautiful, almost pure and at the same time brutal, he catches what is hidden and finds balance between the display of escapist alienation and playful intimacy. Finally, once again a culture of dicks and partying. Good kids doing regular bad stuff.”
